Gift bag

The other day I went shopping for gift bags to give the ruffles scarf I made as gift to one of my kid'd teachers. But then I thought a hand made gift looks great in a hand made bag. So I made this gift bag which measures 7x7x3 inches.

I used magazine papers and Christmas wrapper cutouts. The bag looks great. The pattern is from howaboutorange.blogspot.com.

Chainmaille chrysanthemum

I was looking for something to make like a pendant or a center piece for my bracelet. My first choice was a heart but then I found a very nice Chrysanthemum chain maille pattern.

Full Persian Chain maille Bracelet

I have been wanting to make a chain maille lariat for a long time and I kept on searching for the eave which will make a long chain look good. Finally I found the Full Persian Chain maille weave and I started it. Bit I grew impatient and I made a bracelet out of the chain I had made already. Next will be lariat

And I made a Chrysanthemum with the weave pattern I found here. This is the center point of my bracelet for which I used a toggle clasp to close

Cubic RAW necklace

This has been one of my favorite projects to make. Once you get the hang of the weaving technique, it just happens naturally

For this beautiful black and necklace I used Tubular Right angle weave or cubic RAW with size 8 seed beads and ending with size 10 black seed beads

Shopping bag Pendant

This is from one of so many websites which keep sending you email ever so often with craft ideas. This is a pendant using plastic shopping bags. I used two shopping bags, one in yellow and one in brown.

Using a leaf template cut many leaves out of the bags and burn them using a grill lighter and put a hole in it and hang it from a chain. Mine is golden colored Aluminium chain

Even Count Tubular Peyote

I have had a necklace for ages and I love it, love it, love it. And I , for long, wondered what stitch was used to make it. And finally I figured it out and made a necklace by myself using the "Even Count Tubular Peyote Stitch" . It is a bit time consuming but the results are AAAmazing

I used seed beads in shiny blue, green, turquoise and gold. And I love it

Twisted Wire Earrings

When I was taking bead and metal jewelry class our teacher showed us how to twist the metal wires. One thing that I learnt is if the wire is round you cannot twist it. It has to be hammered into a flat wire and then twist it. This pair of earrings were made as a gift to one of the best gal pals I ever had

Okinawa Chainmaille Set

At one time I was taking some jewelry classes and the teacher ordered some very colorful Aluminum jump rings for us. And those Aluminum jump rings are so much more easier than the regular steel jump rings.

These bracelets here are made using the Okinawa Chainmail method or the 12-in-2 chain maille method. I made two variations of the same technique. Both the bracelets have a toggle clasp at the end and the colors are just lovely.

Turkish Lace Bracelet

Turkish Lace Bracelet is another of those jewelry which is made using crocheting. The ends of the line have black seed beads and the bracelet is again made with cotton silver crochet thread.

Rice bead bracelet

I once was surfing through ebay.com.searching for some rice beads and I stumbled across these beaaaaaauuuutiful Tibetan Rice Bead Bracelets and I searched and searched as how to make it bu with no luck. So...i looked at the picture real closely and I made my own crocheted Tibetan Rice Bead Bracelet. But this bracelet does not have any rice beads in it. It is made with Silver thread and green size 8 beads.
This can be worn in summer without any problem because the thread is cotton. It makes a nice chic addition to your jewelry
